Sarsenstone Psusennes

Black Grizzled Chausie
Zen is a young black grizzled tabby Chausie
Psusennes, whom we usually call "Zen,"  is a great example of a black grizzled Chausie. His amazing grizzling is what inspired us to name him after King Psusennes of Egypt, the Silver Pharaoh. We could already see the grizzling on him at birth, which is unusual. Zen now has grizzling virtually everywhere on his body. It's on his face, legs, and even on his tail. Those are all locations where grizzling rarely occurs.

As interesting as Zen's pattern is, the best thing about him is his personality. He is  the sweetest, most loving cat you can possibly imagine, and he gets along well with other cats to boot. Although he is an unneutered male, he can live with almost any cat without the usual fighting  or aggressive mating behavior you would usually expect from a stud. Zen loves every human he meets, as well.

He would be a great cat in any breed, but his intelligence, playfulness, and amazing range of vocalizations mark him as a Chausie.
